The 28th Biograd Boat Show has opened at Marina Kornati
The 28th Biograd Boat Show—the largest nautical fair in Central Europe and in Croatia—has opened at Marina Kornati. Organized and hosted by Ilirija d.d., the event is also a proud Gold Member of the International Federation of Boat Show Organizers (IFBSO), an association comprising 36 prominent nautical fairs from around the world.
The Biograd Boat Show was officially opened by Ms. Monika Udovičić, State Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Sport, in the presence of Mr. Goran Ražnjević, Chairman of the Board of Ilirija d.d. (the event's organizer and host). The opening ceremony also featured welcoming addresses from Mr. Žarko Tušek, State Secretary at the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure; Mr. Josip Bilaver, Prefect of Zadar County; Mr. Ivan Knez, Mayor of Biograd na Moru; Mr. Kristjan Staničić, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board; Ms. Andreja Vukojević, Vice President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK); and Mr. Milan Šangulin, Director of the Biograd Boat Show.
Ilirija d.d., the organizer and host of the fair, boasts a rich 69-year history and a deep-rooted passion for the nautical sector spanning over 49 years. As a pioneer in the development of nautical tourism in Croatia, Ilirija d.d. constructed the country’s first purpose-built nautical tourism port 49 years ago, simultaneously establishing its own charter fleet consisting of 40 Elan vessels. In doing so, it elevated Biograd to the status of a cradle of nautical tourism in the country; thanks to the dedication and development efforts of Ilirija, it remains the third most-visited nautical port on the Croatian Adriatic to this day.
The Biograd Boat Show—organized for over two and a half decades by Ilirija d.d.—is more than just a nautical trade fair. It serves as a meeting point for prominent manufacturers and dealers, boating enthusiasts, and industry organizations, featuring an in-water boat exhibition alongside exhibitor stands along the piers of what is the third-largest marina in Croatia.
This 28th edition of the Biograd nautical fair has also set a record, hosting over 400 exhibitors and 500 new vessels, complemented by an extensive range of nautical equipment, engines, electronics, services, and charter offerings.
